Not on mine. The left side of the rear window was almost touching the D pillar. The body shop had to remove some interior trim panels and move the entire liftgate to the right about a 1/4". Wait till Chrysler gets the $428.00 bill for an adjustment that could and should have easily been done at the assembly plant. Instead the so called Quality Assurance team (what a joke) put 28 miles on the vehicle and passed it off as is. Probably going back to not long ago when they figured to let the customer deal with it. That's part of what caused Chrysler to go belly up in the first place not long ago.

But I see what you mean about the rear bumper fascia also being misaligned. I could see that the right rear corner of the liftgate has a larger gap than the lower left corner. But at this time, it doesn't bother me to much.

It's a shame but this WILL BE my last Chrysler vehicle. The quality is just not there for a $55K vehicle, and probably never will be.

Right now I feel the same way.

But then I think back to the only car I ever kept for 10 years ... a '76 Monte Carlo w/400. The first six months I think the dealer had it more than I did. But once they fixed the oil leak, the power windows, the radio, aligned the two doors, got the passenger reclining seat to work and a few other thing, it was my perfect car.

I learned a long time ago, never say never.

I hope they get all the kinks out of both our vehicles sooner than six months.

Re: Water Leak Pano Sunroof

Is it a bad omen that I'm having absolutely no problems with my new JGC?

Thanks. I was venting last night. I still like my Summit, but I guess a trip to the dealer is coming up soon.

did you try to check to see if there is anything messing up with closing the sunroof? I would assume dirt isn't the problem, but maybe dealer haven't get the drain cleaned as it is supposed to!

I have pictures. When I take it through a touch less type car wash with the nozzle jets it leaks. The leak or drips form on the centre plastic piece of the sunroof. The dealer checked the drain tubes/holes etc and said that wasn't it which I guessed it wouldn't be. They said that the sunroof wasn't flush or level and so they adujusted the sunroof and made it more level. This actually did help to lessen the drips but it still drips when I go to this particular car wash where they use the water jets.

I've tried other car washes or soft touch washes and no drips. So must be this particular car wash has the jets set possibly really high? I'm going to get my brother to take his 2013 overland through this same car wash to see if his pano leaks as well.

I don't really want to go to the dealer again for service because they didn't fix the problem anyaway. And I don't trust their technicians. I don't want them ripping apart my headliner etc.. and then having more problems or rattles after they mess around. It's happend to my brother before where they had to remove the headliner in his 2010 JGC SRT8 and then he had worse leaks, rattles etc...

I will wait until I can get my brother's 2013 in for a test on this particular car wash. Might be just this car wash has its jets set really high psi or something. Although I've taken my 09 charger through it with no problems and no leaky sunroof. So it's just B.S.

I hate Chrysler Service. Useless.

Re: Water Leak Pano Sunroof

It was raining here today for the first time since I have it and did not really notice any leaks. However, I did go on the back seat and touched on the tracks that the pano glass slides back into and it was wet. Is this normal or should I be taking I back to the dealer? It was a minimal amount of water, but was still there.

Very happy with it and so far only issue I've had with it. But it might be normal. And just the drain system.

Instead of having your brother chance making a mess of his car, why not just avoid that car wash all together?

The caveat is that both times were dealer washes, one right after they took the car out of the truck and another one before I took the car... I haven't take it to a car wash myself.

if that start to happen looks like chrysler are gonna have to recall and fix the problem!

Has anyone been through lots of rain and car washes without a leak problem?

Chrysler has not been able to fix the problem over a 4 year span so what makes you think they will be able to fix it now? Also just to let you know, recalls only apply to parts that affect the overall safety of a vehicle, so a recall aint going to happen for a sunroof.

Re: Water Leak Pano Sunroof

I've mentioned this before, I believe on this thread, that I've had my Overland through several different car washes, driven over a hundred miles on the interstate in pouring rain, and haven't had a drop of water come inside. Any opening roof windows in any vehicle can be problematic. My wife's Compass sprang a leak through its sunroof after 2 1/2 years of ownership. The front reading lights filled up with water. We took it to the dealer and he checked the drain tubes, which were clear, and then adjusted the glass itself, which he said was the problem. That was three years ago, and it's never leaked again. I didn't want a sun or pano roof in my Overland, but that's the only way I could buy it. I love the vehicle, but if I could have, I would have ordered it without the pano. We can't always get what we want. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Re: Water Leak Pano Sunroof

I just purchased a Limited '14 with the pano sunroof. Yesterday, there was a steady rain coming down, and after going to breakfast, I turned the corner. Water dripped, pretty steadily out from behind the sunglass holder. I'm scheduling an appointment for this afternoon. It's amazing to me that this would happen with a brand new vehicle!

Land Rover is notorious for this issue as well.
