thought i would post up this story in case anyone else was experiencing this issue. A couple months ago I had brought my 2014 JCG in for finding a leak, the could not find it and ended up giving up and returning the vehicle to me after 2 days. I witnessed water dripping down from the back of my sunglass holder compartment and took pictures. The amount of water was enough to soak my drivers side carpet. Needless to say I pissed that they didnt find it. It was garaged most of the time but this was ridiculous, after a hard rain it would leak if it was parked outside.
Fast forward until last week, I was sick and tired of dealing with "we didnt find anything" so I went back and told them they better find it this time, my carpet was soaked again after a hard rain. I pulled out the center overhead console also trying to find where it might be coming from. The dealer ended up keeping the car for 4 days and provided a rental. Come to find out there are 4 drain hoses attached to the sunroof that run down the vehicle and let the water exit. the drivers side tube was "kinked" so water was filling up the tube and collecting in the sunroof catch area, as soon as that filled up it would spill over into the vehicle. They repaired it by fixing the kinked line and checking the rest of the hoses to make sure they were not also kinked.
I hope this helps anyone having the same issue, I only found out the first time because it seemed a bit humid in my car, i lifted up the floor mats and felt a damp carpet underneath.
I love my JGC but the day they put mine together the QA wasnt in place.
