Yeah unfortunately I replace a lot of hemi water pumps not a bad job tho, I have seem them go bad as early as 15k

Have they improved the replacements or are they putting the same pumps back in to fail in another 20k miles?

If I recall they did change part number after the very large back order, that makes me think it was improved or changed but don't quote me on that

Thanks, have you noticed any rhyme or reason to the failures. such as are most of the early failures before 50k or are they from people who work the engines hard such as trailer towing. or is totally random some fail some don't no way of predicting. I don't mind taking it in to get it changed but my bigger concern is this stranding me in the middle of nowhere.

I would say most if not all are early middle teens to mid twenty's that I have done and most have the front water pump shaft bearing toast causing the failure.

I just installed (first time I did it) my 4th water pump and I have 120,000+ miles. The last two times it was the bearing in the shaft. SMH
