Water pump weep hole? HELP!

Had a brief race with a VW GTI filled with teenagers and came home to find white smoke gently flowing from under the hood. Opened the hood and small fume erupted. I could smell coolant.

Upon further inspection the fan, the tipm, and several other parts were soaked, with a reddish hue emanating from the formed puddles.

Squeezing the upper rad hose created a gurgle and spurt from a small hole in the water pump. I'm assuming this is the weep hole, just not certain if this is normal or an indication that I've just blown my water pump?? 2011 WK2 with 93k kms. Help?!

My 2011 overland hemi is getting the water pump replaced under the 5/50 power train warranty whew.... I have 48k on the beast at this time.

I went out to my truck a few days ago and had an orange puddle of coolant under the engine bay. It leaks only when running and hot. I drove it nearly 200 miles without any kind of issue as there is nearly an extra gallon held in the overflow tank.
