Angry water under the floor 2011 GC

I live in Phoenix......It rarely rains and when it does my car is usually in the garage!
Problem: Recently in Colorado....lots of rain. Heard water shloshing under the floor.
Thought it was ac condensation line plugged. Jeep dealer back in Scottsdale said ac ok. Problem was clogged drainage line from sunroof to "A" pillar. They had the car for 10 days waiting for Chrysler to approve replacing the carpeting!!!

Drove in a downpour 2 days( 9/9/13) after picking up the car and guess what.........Water shloshing under the floor....Like gallons. Have an appt tomorrow to bring in. Any thoughts as to the problem and solution. Thanks and looking forward to your help.

I wonder if they were so intent on getting the carpet approved, they forgot to deal with the drainage line?

Re: water under the floor 2011 GC

Here's a couple of threads for you to read:
john1947...sloshing noise
Sloshing sound from under the car
Hope you find some useful information. Others have had this problem, and it has been remedied. Good luck.

I don't mean to highjack the OP's thread, but I think this is a good example of how forums can skew the perceived reliability of a vehicle. I'm not sure how long the OP has owned his Jeep, but his first post here is about a problem. Of course we all welcome him here, and hope we can help him resolve his issue, but it does point out how forum information can make any brand vehicle seem problem prone.

Re: water under the floor 2011 GC

The dealership ended up removing the front seats and carpet to get to the metal panel beneath. Toward the rear of this tray there were three grommets, one of which they had removed to allow any further water buildup to drain out. They also found a small leak in the firewall which had been draining into the tray, and was subsequently fixed.

Thanks for all of the help!
