weather stripping not installed from factory

Just picked up a new 2014 limited. Was checking out the hood area above the headlight and noticed I could not feel any weatherstripping on the passenger side vs I could feel it on the drivers side. I open the hood and look up, mounted on the drivers side at the end of the hood is a piece of approx. 2 foot long weather stripping to seal the area above the headlight when the hood is closed. On the passenger side, there is nothing but 3 holes where it appears this weather stripping should be. Can someone confirm, that there should be 2 strips of weatherstripping one on each side? Thanks for any help, this makes the 4th problem so far that I have found with less than 400 miles on it. Maybe I should feel lucky i don't have the ground strap problem, yet.

Re: weather stripping not installed from factory

The strip on the passenger's side is left off on purpose. I'm not sure why, probably for better air flow or at least that's what my service department told me when I noticed the strip was missing.

Re: weather stripping not installed from factory

I think the piece on the left is to keep water/snow out of the engine air intake.

Re: weather stripping not installed from factory

Sorry folks I see this problem was posted already. I should have looked. Good to know, 1 less issue, still looks odd though.

You must be asking "Ledcat" as I have had no issues. Now have over 1000 miles on it.

You know how Perry Mason would respond?

Already asked and answered.
