Re: Weird noise it idle gets worse with rpm change -water pump

Hey guys. Took the Jeep to the dealer for a service on Wednesday and told them that I thought the noise up front was the water pump. Luckily, the pump was indeed the bad part because it was covered under my 5-year 100,000 mile warranty. New pump installed same day along with full service. Back on the road and she's running great! Just hit 40k miles FYI.

I need to get it in soon for a checkup. It has 37k on it.
I took it in today and the dealer confirmed the water pump is bad. It has now been replaced

Fellas

I have a 12 3.6 - I think I have this issue - its a rattle that I hear in reverse and barely moving forward (~1mph or less) I have 29k on the clock.

1) Any 3.6 guys have this issue? Or does that not matter as they used the same water pump for both 3.6 and 5.7?

2) Am I understanding this correctly they are replacing this under the 5 year 100k power train (vs 3 year 36k warranty)
