Weird rear window condition

I started parking in a new lot by my job. My rear hatch window has been ajar 7 out of ten times I picked up the car. I thought either someone was searching my jeep for whatever devious reason or the attendant was hitting a button or something and making the ajar ( not lifted just unlocked and the indicator on evic lit up. ) I know of the button on the back but no other button anywhere.

I stopped for coffee, shut off the jeep, didn't lock it and returned to an ajar light and had to close it again.

Any ideas of what could be happening? Could there be a button somewhere I'm all of a sudden hitting?

Re: Weird rear window condition

It's the button under the chrome trim. The button is known to go bad when exposed to too much humidity/water. It will keep activating while the Jeep is unlocked. I had mine replaced and so far so good. Though if this starts happening again I'm gonna just kill the button and use the fob instead.

Oh cool info. Call me a noob but my fob doesn't seem to have a button for the glass I have a button for the whole gate to raise and 2 empty slots below.

I believe the flipper glass release button on the fob only applies to the 2011's.
