Question What could be happening?

So I approach my WK2 Overland and grab the door handle...doors unlock, I put my bag on the front seat, close door then the door locks automatically as I walk around the vehicle to the drivers side without me doing anything. Upon grabbing the handle on the drivers side the horn goes off twice and unlocks. I enter and all is well. I drive to my destination, get out of my car, walk to passenger side, but door locks automatically as I walk around to that side.

What is going on?

It doesn't happen all of the time...just lately!

jcnaranjo is a splendid one to behold
The only thing I can think of is the remote start feature is malfunctioning. As you may recall, when you press the remote start button twice the horn sounds twice and the doors lock automatically.

Re: What could be happening?

Hmmm...the vehicle doesn't start though after locking and sounding the horn twice...but it does seem glitchy. Thanks

Re: What could be happening?

You have 2 fobs, where is the other one? I noticed with mine if one fob is in the truck and I have one on me it can sometimes act strange. Since we have 2 my wife carries my backup and I keep her's in my truck. When she rides with me I noticed that sometimes it seems to get confused if one is outside the truck and one is inside.

It also honks when you touch the driver side handle to unlock it if the panic alarm has gone off since the last time you locked it.

Security alarm, not panic alarm (per page 22 of the OM.)
