Whats the normal Transmission temperature?

I'm getting this temperature after about 30 minutes of normal driving. Is this normal?

Re: Whats the normal Transmission temperature?

Yes, the ZF 8 speed runs hotter. It even has a coolant heated "heater" to help it reach the warmer temps sooner.

Re: Whats the normal Transmission temperature?

sorry, I didn't even look at the picture originally. I can only speak to the SRT (different ZF than the 3.6) but mine normally sits about 180-190.

What caught my attention was the temperature usually stays in the middle of the gauge display in my past vehicles, and as you can see in the picture it is slightly past towards the hot side. Thank you.

Normal. Most report between 195 and 205 day to day driving.

I know the 8 speed trans temp in my Summit V8 runs a lot hotter (30-40 degrees) than the 5/6 speed did in my 2012 Overland V8. But it sounds like its normal for the 8 speed trans.

Checked today on my way home with my srt after about 30 mins was sitting at 190. Stayed in the high 180's low 190's at constant highway speed so I would say its normal.
