wheel hub bearing bad....already?

My bad luck with my 2012 Overland continues. Had a clicking noise when I turned right. Took to dealer and encountered a storm on the way. About a mile from the dealer a tree falls on my Jeep and smashes the hood and grill. Got some funny looks as I pulled into the service bay because I had a rather large tree branch sticking out of my grill. Then the news of a bad wheel hub bearing at 40k miles is a bit tough to take. I also had a TPMS sensor go bad and they are a bit pricey. The good news is the skid plates saved my underside from damage when I went over the tree. I'm afraid to see whats next with my Jeep adventure.

Re: wheel hub bearing bad....already?

Sorry to hear about the run in with the tree. You proved that skid plates aren't just for off roading.

My 14 needed a front wheel bearing with a couple of thousand miles on it. Although I was still able to drive the Jeep, it did take a week for the dealer to get the bearing. I couldn't believe they didn't keep them in stock. Chrysler seems to have a very inefficient parts distribution system.

Once the part came in the dealer had me in and out in no time.
