Will the powertrain warranty cover wheel bearings?

Been doing a lot of reading and pretty sure I have one if not two bad front wheel bearings based on the noises I'm hearing. Hearing humming 30mph+ mostly from the drivers side. Currently have 37000 miles on her so just out of bumper to bumper.

Just wondering if I should waste my time bringing it to the dealer or just order the parts. Don't exactly want to pay a diagnosis fee.

When you hear the noise, put the Jeep in neutral. If you still hear it, you can be pretty sure of your diagnoses. I had the left front go on a '14 4WD.

I would speak to the dealer about replacing it, but I don't know how a front wheel bearing could be considered part of the drive train on a RWD Jeep.

If it is only 37k miles then I'd definitely contact Jeep to authorize the repair... at a pro-rated repair. The dash on our 2011 GC Overland wrinkled and came unglued at $40k and they prorated the replacement for it.

My front right went bad at 42000 miles and no they are not covered by the drivetrain warranty. Cost about $500.00

Re: Will the powertrain warranty cover wheel bearings?

That's what I figured. Just ordered the part $88 shipped is a damn sight better than $500 at the dealer!

Thanks for the input guys.
