Windhsield wiper fluid indicator??

So I keep getting the "Low windshield wiper fluid" message, every time I start the car, constantly....even though it's filled to the top!

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Windhsield wiper fluid indicator??

Do a forum search. This has been discussed at length. This will happen when using certain washer fluids. You'll need to change fluids and clean the fluid sensor pick-ups.

Rain-X products are said to cause the coating on the sensor. I use it and have not experienced it though

Re: Windhsield wiper fluid indicator??

I did have Rain-X in there. After reading the forum posts, as you guys suggested, I drained it all out, and replaced with the blue stuff. Still get the Low Fluid warning though...

Re: Windhsield wiper fluid indicator??

You need to clean the sensors. The Rain-X leaves a residue. There's a thread here somewhere with illustrations. Or, you could take it to your dealer, especially if it's under warranty.
