Windshield Gasket

Has anyone had any issues with the molded plastic cover that has the windshield outer gasket on it bulking? This is the plastic mold where the windshield wipers go through and has the vent holes in it. Mine has bulked in one area and the rubber gasket is raised up from the windshield in one area. I will have the dealer fix it what I am wondering if this has been an issue with others? I hate to have to take it in for this. This is a 2012 Overland with 2k on it. Thanks

Re: Windshield Gasket

Thanks for the reply. Did the replacement go fine? Any issues? Looks to be simple to replace but the windshield wipers may have to be removed.

Re: Windshield Gasket

No issues. I had it done as part of an oil change/tire rotation about a month ago. Everything took less than an hour. Looks good as new.

I got my Overland in October and noticed the issue within a week or two of having it. I'm assuming it was like that from the factory or developed in transit.

I had mine done two weeks ago. Looks great! No hassle from service.

Re: Windshield Gasket

Glad I did a search on this topic. We have two 2012's and I washed them both over the weekend. I noticed this issue on my wife's, just looks a bit warped. I'll definately take it to the dealer, but have a quick question. Its been in a few downpours (and washings) since we purchased it last month. Should I be concerned about any type of water that may have gotten under the raised area?
