ok, definitely not the temperature. it was 67 degrees today and light still comes on. something to do with sensor and rain x. will find out once i use all the fluid and fill it with something else unless someone beats me to it.

Mine is still on but only when it's below 20ish. Warmer than that and the light is off.

I flushed mine with water and filled with the regular blue stuff. Light is still on.

wonder if there was anyway to reset the sensor without going to dealer?

Mine has been on for weeks. Dealer looked at it and says the sensor is bad, part has been ordered.

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid fluid light won't go out.

A new sensor seems to be about US $2... getting it out of there looks like more of a challenge.

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid fluid light won't go out.

sounds like the common thread here is that most of us ran the washer fluid tank dry, so note to others, don't let fluid level go too low.....

It's happened to me too, always in cold weather, I use the orange stuff (forget the brand.) However, I don't think I have ever had it below 1/2 full. The first time it came on I only got 1/2 a in before it was topped off.

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid fluid light won't go out.

Never ran mine dry but light would come on here an there when full. I use the winter RainX here in Cleveland so it wasn't frozen. Worked fine just annoying light saying I was low when I wasn't. Dealer said level sensor was throwing a code and faulty so they replaced it. No problems in 30 days since.

ok, bad sensor, does anyone know how to get to the sensor. do you have to remove the inner wheel well to access it or come from above?

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid fluid light won't go out.

Sensor replaced and working normally again. Common thread seemed to be the Rain-X interacting with the sensor.
