Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

My passenger side nozzle stopped squirting. Seems the plastic hose connector broke off from the part that in mounted in the hood. It's been cold, but I use -20 washer solvent year round. Sound like a warranty service?

Git-er-done while you still have a warranty.
If you have extended warranty and have to pay 100 bucks then maybe do it yourself.

Common problem I think.... mine broke a few weeks back I was out of warranty on my '12 SRT8, but my dealer replaced it no charge and while replacing the passenger side one they broke the driver side too. They replaced both N/C.

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

Mine broke in the spring.
Poor design/part.
Got it done under warranty.
Good luck.

Exact same thing happened to me on my 2012 SRT8....mine was under warranty but it took me multiple trips to get it fixed.

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

Unfortunately, mine wasn't under warranty. I found the plastic broken one extremely brittle. While installing the replacement the drivers side broke. That unit was extremely brittle as well. Wonder if it's the heat of the engine baking the nozzle unit? At least two new units are in place and functioning perfectly.

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

I know this is an older thread but we are having this issue....nozzles work but the connection tube under hood is brittle from the heat must have cracked...anybody come up with a better solution other than stock replacement which will also surely fail?

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

Same thing happened to me. Passenger side broke first. I think the connecting hose between the two nozzles is too short and shrinks in cold weather, breaking off one side. When I extracted the broken off barb fitting from the hose, and tried to reconnect the hose to the stub of the barb remaining on the nozzle, the driver side broke before I could stretch the hose to connect. With almost no force applied at all.
The Jeep dealer wanted $59.95 for a pair of nozzles. I got the Dorman 47183 Windshield Washer Nozzle Kit from Amazon for $13.22 and they are every bit as good:

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

Had to have both of them replaced on my '11 by the dealer. Extended Warranty covered it.

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

Update - Since the nozzles were still good, and most of the barb connector was there, I tried this and it worked. Testers model glue! Holding up nicely so far. I had also tried wrapping tape around them to hold in place but tape will fail due to heat (electrical tape).

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzle Broken

This happened to me earlier last week and I ordered the Dorman 47183 from Amazon. I swapped them out yesterday and it took me all of 5 minutes. It would have taken me less time but one of the barbs snapped leaving the barb in the hose that I needed to dig out with a needle nose. 2012 and out of warranty.
