Re: Wiper Nozzle problems.

any of you guys had no spray over the winter when it was really cold? I have the washer fluid that isn't supposed to freeze - yet - had nothing - thought the nozzles were frozen. Now - when they spray they spray half the windshield. Something is up with these nozzles/hose. Bottom line - stuff like this should just work. I have a 2004 infiniti fx - the thing just works - still!

Re: Wiper Nozzle problems.

Ive got two GC in my house, an overland and a summit. This happened on both of them. No idea why jeep would use hard plastic lines and T connectors for that. The ones on my Summit snapped on both sides and my Overland snapped on the driver side. Very frustrating.

Re: Wiper Nozzle problems.

Mine has this same issue with the passenger side. When I got home from the dealer, I thought the fluid was low. Opened the hood to fill it and noticed the hose had become disconnected. Put it back and never thought much about it again until this weekend when it happened again. I looked and it looks like the piece on the hood is broken and the hose just barely slips over it. I tried to use a hose clamp but there isn't enough for it to grip. When I took the hose clamp off, it fell down beside the engine and is there somewhere. I put the suspension on full lift and crawled under it but couldn't feel it sitting anywhere. Hopefully nothing bad will come of it

This coupled with a piece of trim that is falling off the passenger door window warrants a trip to the dealer for some warranty work

When you find it, try a small zip tie instead of a clamp.

Thanks. I gave up looking for it I tried a zip tie and there isn't enough there. I used three - on around the hose, one through a hole in the hood, and then one connecting the two. It is a complete redneck fix but hopefully it will hold.

Re: Wiper Nozzle problems.

Number 2 broken nozzle, its not a cold weather thing. first one I took back to the dealer but this one I just ordered, Id rather pay the 20 bucks than waste a few hours of my day off at the dealer waiting around.

here is part number and link if anyone needs it

Re: Wiper Nozzle problems.

The hose is too short and seems to be putting too much stress on the nipple which is breaking.

Had the same thought when I recently replaced both nozzles. But after maneuvering the hose around some or backing it off a little from each nozzle, that reduced the stress and gave some slack in the hose.

OK so mine has broken and its the Drivers side(SO in Australia) guess that is exactly the same one as everyone else.

It's not from the cold as I live in Queensland
Quoted price from Dealer $90 PLUS fitting...

+1
Checked both nozzles tonight and found the RH one under load from the hose. As above, with a couple of minor adjustments to the hose and rubber elbows, I believe I may have averted a future problem.....
Great Thread!
