Wipers Not Fully Parking

Hoping someone can shed a little insight into this. Today as I stopped at a red light, the snow from the roof fell forward onto the windshield. Right after, the intermittent kicked in and the wipers tried to move the snow. They weren't able to and stopped after an inch or two. I pulled over, manually removed the snow, and the wipers started up again. Now, however, the wipers aren't fully retracting / parking when turned off. They also seem to go a little beyond the normal extend limit. Anyone have this before? Not sure if it's a wiper trans issue, or if the wipers jumped a tooth on the spline. Thanks.

Re: Wipers Not Fully Parking

My 2000 Cadillac would do the same. It didn't have splines so unless the bolt holding the arm on wasn't real tight they would slip on the shaft. Not sure if that is the same on the GC.

Thanks. Today I actually got a chance to look at it. It wasn't splines, so I was able just to push it really hard and it moved back into place. Thanks for the reply.
