There is a reason for the "off" setting for the wipers.

You're not the only one. Has happened to me, although not that often. 2014 overland. My father has a Ram 1500 that does it all the time. Mother drives a dodge charger that does it too. Always seems to happen when turning at a low speed. My father has brought his in for service, what do you know, service dept couldn't replicate problem.

Left them in auto? Isn't the point of automatic wipers to leave them in auto so they come on automatically?

I'm pretty sure it's shadows. When I parked today behind a big hedge they went on right as I pulled in.
