WK2 5.7L Transmission question

I have a 2011 Limited w/ the 5.7L and have noticed that when cruising at 75-80mph and then punch the accelerator to pass, the downshift seems very rough. Is this normal? Would the TSB 18-035-11 correct this problem?

Re: WK2 5.7L Transmission question

Yes, it is and so far I believe that TSB does make the downshift smoother. Overall that TSB makes a HUGE difference in the way the vehicle drives. It's well worth the time needed to get it done.

Thanks for your reply. I'm bringing it in on Friday to get the flash update done. I'm looking forward to the improvement!

Re: WK2 5.7L Transmission question

Is TSB 18-035-11 the PCM and TCM flash? I got that done and it made for a huge improvement! Move power and much smoother shift!

Re: WK2 5.7L Transmission question

Had the transmission flash done and I am a happy camper Much smoother shifts and feels like there is definitely more power available. Dealer knew nothing about the TSB but was more than willing to provide the update.

Re: WK2 5.7L Transmission question

Mine does the same thing but my build date was April 18, 2011 and my MDH was 0401806 so it doesnt look like it applies. Is there a possibility that mine has the old software?

Re: WK2 5.7L Transmission question

You might be included since I think it applies to any MDH before 0404. Your dealer can verify.
