Re: wk2 hid headlight blub replacement

they are probably just under a cover like the 08-10's....

You may have to remove what is behind it to gain access.
Xenondepot has awesome D1S HID bulbs...I have them in My Jeep

Re: wk2 hid headlight blub replacement

On the drivers side you gotta pull the intake, there should be pics and stuff in one of my LED bulb threads, I think the DRL ones. SHould be able to access the same way, the drivers side is a pain in the ass. The access panels in the wheel wells are just really for the side marker lights.

Re: wk2 hid headlight blub replacement

ok now have the answer... driver side 1) removal of the entire air box is necessary (not to bad)...2)remove black rubber cover to expose blub .3) rotate lock ring a1/4 turn counter clockwise, remove blub it tight (make sure headlight are off for at least 15 min....you could possible get a nasty shock if not discharged......) reassemble in reverse order ok now for pass side.1) remove radiator overflow 3- 8mm screws 2)remove relay mounted to radiator support use a small screw driver to release the retainer clip do pull on it....3)remove rubber cover 4) 1/4 turn clockwise on retainer will do, remove blub....reverse the procedure....removal of the access port in the wheel wells may be helpful to some............be careful not to bend the pins on the blub take a look to see how they are set, prior to installation incase they should shift....thats it,,, upgraded to 6000k..... have 8000k infogs..... led 's in the drls.... looks great perfect night vision..................pat
