WK2 Panoroof Sunshade won't close completely - need advice

HELP!! I just had the Panoroof track replaced under the TSB. The Tech at the dealership broke/ripped the sunshade and they had to order a new sunshade unit ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1408622104.926221.jpgas part of the install. The problem I'm having is the NEW sunshade won't close all the way now, it stops about an inch from the correct stop position in the front. I tried recalibrating, but that didn't change anything. It seems all three positions (close, mid, open) are just short of about a inch off from the correct positions.

Does anyone know if this is something I can adjust, or what might be causing this??

Why are you trying to recalibrate it? Take it back to the dealer and tell them to make it right.

I agree just let the dealer handle it. I too would try to see I could resolve it, but probably is best to let the joker who replaced the shade fix his mistake. Good luck!

Yes, I agree. It's scheduled to go back Sep 2nd...was hoping to avoid going back (them having to drop the headliner again, etc.) and close this issue myself. Good news is, the rattling and knocking sounds are gone, bad news..,I have to go back for this. Fortunately it's only costing me time, since they are providing a loaner (and it's a TSB.)

Guess my expectation of it being fixed 100% correct the first time is crazy talk!! LOL

Thanks !!

The (re)calibration programming to correct/adjust the park positions for the power sun shade was a very quick job for the Dealer to complete, definitely glad I had them do it!!

Too bad they left that step out when they did the TSB. Glad it's solved though.

Hey RysWK2-

Can you tell be the TSB # for the power shade? I looked through all the TSB's I could find and i don't see it. I want to point it out to dealer, because they do not know anything about it. I am having the same problem with the power shade you had on my 2014 Wk2, but it broke and fell into car.

Thanks, Mike
