Out of curiosity, why would anyone not keep it in Sport mode instead of Auto? Does it drain more gas perhaps?

Yea, gas is the main thing I would think, since it's a lot easier to get on it with the throttle sensitive. But maybe also ride quality, I think you loose a little of the soft ride on rough roads by dropping it.

If you really want to alter shift points (aside from shifting manually, of course), press the tow/haul button. You'll be glad you did.

Thank you for this thread.. up until last week, I had been using Sport mode all wrong! Pick up at stop lights is much improved on my v6 since.
