WK2 Sport mode VS Auto mode

What about Sport mode with the Hemi?
Is their a noticeable difference vs the Auto mode?
What about handling?

Thanks

Re: WK2 Sport mode VS Auto mode

I know sport mode lowers the car from normal ride .5 inches. Which is also considered to be "Aero Mode". Not sure what else it does though.

Re: WK2 Sport mode VS Auto mode

Torque changes to 20/80 in sport mode instead of 50/50 in normal. ESC partially off.

Heard from somewhere that there is no difference...
You can use manual mode.

Re: WK2 Sport mode VS Auto mode

I did my break in in Sport mode and noticed a slightly altered shift pattern and a more responsive throttle. If it's my imagination, so be it but it feels different enough to me to use it when I want to dart about suburbia.

Re: WK2 Sport mode VS Auto mode

The throttle is definitele more responsive in Sport, I wish I could get it to stay like that in Auto, no biggie though.

And yes, Sport lowers you down a little, which makes a nice difference in the body roll.

Definitely is the case. A lot of time I'm driving around in Sport mode precisely for the shift points and throttle response- the Aero suspension setting isn't a big deal and the torque split isn't that noticeable, but it's nice having it hold a gear a bit longer. IMO, that's how you overcome any complaints of sluggishness, even with the V-6.

Re: WK2 Sport mode VS Auto mode

Sport absolutely is a manadatory setup if one finds themselves at a stoplight, up against an octogenarian with 500 cubic inches of Coupe de Ville.

Smokes 'em every time.

^ Absolutely it feels like a different vehicle in Sport, much more enjoyable to drive especially the difference in that 2nd gear anchor in Auto.

Re: WK2 Sport mode VS Auto mode

I use sport all the time around the city, activate it on the fly and you'll notice a huge difference when it lowers. I just wish it was a permanent type toggle switch, so you wouldn't have to adjust it every time you get in the car -- same thing with the heated/cooled seats and steering wheel. I feel like a pilot going through a checklist after I push Start.
