Re: Wrong Grille?

My 2011 Overland came with a Jeep Door Sill on Driver's side and a Dodge Door Sill on Passenger side right from factory. Picked it up with 26 Km on it as it was driven from the Rail Yard direct to dealer and I picked it up 3 hours later. Took 2 days before my Wife noticed it and I went to the dealer and had the correct one ordered.

As far as the service dept not knowing the differences in the grills that doesn't suprise me at all.
The limited I'm about to purchase has the 18" wheels and they said they would swap them with the 20" from an overland on the lot, if I prefer the 20s. I guess they could acknowledge the switch and change the sticker on the overland, but my guess is they'll leave it as there's a 50/50 chance the buyer will notice nor care. This was two 3 days ago.

Re: Wrong Grille?

This stuff seems to happen a lot. About a month ago on the JK forum a member went to pick up his new Rubicon that was ordered with body color flares...they were body color on the driver side and plain black on the other...not sure how something that obvious could slip through.

Who says this dealer is "reputable"?

For the record, I have also bought many new vehicles and used to consult with car dealerships helping them increase their sales retention to service rates. Believe me...swapping a grille is way down low on the spectrum of things a dealer will do.
