98% of people driving vehicles have no clue about this stuff, they should just walk then? Off-white with a blue tint, vs pure white - most drivers aren't going to even think to pay attention to the difference even if it's a gray color, and some won't even realize whether it's pitch black or pure white. This doesn't mean they aren't capable of driving.
The OP has only one thread. Where's this "other thread" stating his engine wasn't blown?
I've seen oil smoke that is "mostly white" in appearance. A lay-person could easily see it as "white" while a technical person would recognize the slight blue tint. The key is the smell, and the OP here did recognize the smell.
And yes, coolant doesn't burn, heheh. It wouldn't be smoke at all.
