Re: 2013 5.7 Performance Package

I have the 2012 overland with 5.7 hemi. I wanted an off road capable jeep so SRT is out of the question.
I think that for 25 HP which is less then 10% gain its just not worth spending money.

I would love to have the option to buy a supercharger, low end power is the way to go. If there's enough people with 5.7 hemi out there I'm sure we can get one of the vendors that sells a blower for the same engine in a dodge, to get a kit for us.

Who's in?

Re: 2013 5.7 Performance Package

I am a WK2 5.7 Hemi Overland Summit owner. Got to love those SRT8 enthusiast... Great car just couldn't afford the extra 10K.
My Black 427 SLP 2011 SS Camaro will do i guess.
I also want to bump up the performance and dress up package on my every day driver. Ive been to shophemi.com. Are there any other site comparable to this one?

Use the MOPAR cold air intake and MOPAR cat back exhaust, Mopar should not void warranty.

+1 - 2013 Overland Summit here, (w/4x4 and 5.7 h.), as well, and I think it's a great Jeep! I considered the SRT8 for awhile but couldn't really justify the additional cost + decreased capability, (except for speed). I have a 2009 Caddy CTS-V that satisfies my performance urges quite well - and the OEM hemi Overland is no slouch either IMO.

the SRT8 isnt that bad off road is it?
You guys have it easy over there in terms of costing... in Aus you pay more for a limited than you guys do for a SRT8. Overland is $85k and SRT8 is around $90k here

Here's my HEMI performance package. Most economical speed fix I could find.

Some vehicles just aren't made to do sub 5 second 0-60's, some are. Unfortunately, our 5.7's are the former.

Re: 2013 5.7 Performance Package

Is there a supercharger for the 5.7? I am considering a 2014 but would be more interested in one if I could bolt on a SC. Yes, I know for about the same money I could have an SRT but want to be able to go off road.

Re: 2013 5.7 Performance Package

- ^^^ - No SC's for the hemi that I know of - and not sure the oem drive line components would stand up very well with a large increase in hp/torque. Might want to reconsider the SRT option as it's designed to handle the additional power of the 6.4 hemi.

Thanks, that's kind of what I thought. I love the SRT look I just don't know how functional it is for what I do.
