Re: 2014 3.6 V6 Dual Exhuast for Grand Cherokee?

I wonder if this exhaust would fit with the skid plates of the ORA2 package. What do you guys think?

Re: 2014 3.6 V6 Dual Exhuast for Grand Cherokee?

Has anyone else tried this with either the Borla catback or any others? I'm in the market for the Corsla catback however have been told the v6 and v8 set ups are quite different..

Side question - would I be better off getting some pipes custom bent and adding in two sets of mufflers and tips due to no v6 dual exhaust system being made yet?

Thanks!

To answer the OP's question, Gibson makes an axle back dual exhaust system for the 3.6L V6... just ordered mine through a local muffler shop and its on its way, cant wait!

How are you liking this so far, any drone, where did you purchase the borla exhaust from and do you have part # for driver side rear hanger? I have a 2014 V6 and am thinking about doing this. This sounds amazing!!

Re: 2014 3.6 V6 Dual Exhuast for Grand Cherokee?

VprGts,

I found the video in YouTube and posted it to answer the question from Dubbwash and Shortbus. I did upgrade with the Mopar OEM factory stock cat back system.

The following are the parts to convert the 2011 Grand Cherokee single exhaust to the dual exhaust. Check with your Jeep dealer parts department for compatibility with the 2014 year/model. Good luck.

Bumper parts:

1. Lower rear bumper without tow package (68111469AA)

2. Heat shield - Left side muffler (68111643AA)

3. Screws (3 or 4) for attaching heat shield to bumper (68090949AA)

4. Push nut/clip (1) for attaching heat shield to bumper (see pic). I'm not sure of the part # (68090948AA)

5. Rivets (2) for reattaching the rear quarter panel molding to properly attach the heat shield to the bumper (6500911)

Exhaust Parts:

1. Rubber exhaust insulator (2) (52128501AA)

2. Exhaust hanger, Left side rear (68056521AB)

3. Screw for attaching exhaust hanger (6101793)

4. Nut for attaching exhaust hanger (6101809)

Do you have any in cabin sound videos of you driving around or stomping on the accelerator? Thx!

No, I don't think it sounds good. Your never gonna get a nice V8 rumble out of a V6.

Re: 2014 3.6 V6 Dual Exhuast for Grand Cherokee?

I just put the MagnaFlow 5.7L exhaust on my 3.6L. I found some clips searching you tube to get an idea of what sound to expect. Road Warrior is right; but IMHO I like the sound it's putting out and definitely does not sound like a burner. Sounds much closer to the M3 my next door neighbor has than another neighbor with a VW (Borla exhaust) across the way.

I did the install by myself; it bolts right up but did not fit as nice with the flange to the catalytic converter as the Borla pics in this thread (no leaks to speak of). I found that PB blaster works great for getting the exhausts off and on the hangers (tip off of youtube). Channel locks and a pry bar are your best friends for getting the stock exhaust off the hangers particularly the resonator and muffler, and a lot swearing helps too!
