Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

Have any of you guys tried the sprintbooster I have one on my 09 4.7 and it was a night and day difference. Throttle lag on that was horrible. I am going to add one to my wife's 15 altitude. Although the throttle response on that is pretty good. But the sprintbooster really helps to eliminate the lag.

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

I haven't tried anything, this needs to be a fix from Jeep. Anything else will void the warranty. And the fact is that with a brand new $50,000 car there shouldnt be any lag whatsoever and Jeep needs to come up with a fix. People are saying its normal with the new cars. But if an after market programmer can fix the problem then so can Keep or any other car maker. We shouldn't have to spend more money to fix their problem.Other than this lag issue I love my Jeep. But this has left me like a sitting duck numerous times. I just got off the phone this morning with Jeep and am beginning the process of getting this problem fixed. So all the other Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler oweners with the same issue please call 1-800-763-8422. This is the number to Keep customer relations. I told them it was a safety issue and they seem to take it seriously.

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

Sometimes I drive in Sport mode, but most of the time I drive in normal mode with the Eco mode turned off.

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

I have a 2014 with the 3.6L and I used to have this same issue...I also have a new 2015 Durango with the 3.6l and it also has this same issue...I tried the K&N and even added ported throttle bodies to both vehicles and it really didn't help that much

On my Grand Cherokee I went with a RIPP supercharger and that somehow seems to have cured my lag in the peddle...my Durango still has the lag.

I may try this sprint booster to see if it helps...i'm looking forward to seeing what they tell you or do to fix it

Have noticed this a few times in my 2014 5.7. I have just gotten in the habit of putting it in sport mode when I know I need to take off in a hurry.

On another note, anyone notice limited acceleration until about 3800 rpm? My really seems to wake up around there, almost like adding a shot of nitrous.

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

I would love to supercharge the Jeep. However with as expensive as everything is on there I don't want to void the warranty. I hope they will do something. I think that unless enough people call in to let them know its an issue, they are probably going to tell me that's just the way the new automobiles are and to deal with it.

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

I just ordered a Sprint Booster for my Jeep...they're telling me that it will help speed up the throttle and eliminate all the lag...

I have VERY little lag with the supercharged/tuned system but I decided to try the sprint booster anyways...if it doesn't make a big difference on my jeep i'll prob put it on my Durango...which has some noticeable lag issues as well

The sprint Booster is only $289 Shipped so it's not all that bad...

this is what I just ordered

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

That's the same one I have. It was well worth the money.

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

Got my sprint booster today and installed it in about 3 minutes
Took it out for some testing and it really rips now

Zero throttle lag..helps reduce the laggy feel of my supercharger as well..without the sprint booster my jeep seems fine but with it on it feels much more responsive

Zero throttle lag now ..I'm going to buy one for my 2015 Durango as that one has a lot more noticeable lag than my jeep
