Good to know, hopefully I will be getting 15-16 miles per gallon come spring time.

I live in a big city but don't get stuck in rush hour cause my work hours keeps me out of it.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Overland Gas Mileage

I've got a 2014 V6 Overland in Brooklyn with 6,400 miles on it. In town I average 16 MPG in eco mode, feathering the peddle. On the highway I've hit 26 MPG while in eco mode. Average for the 6,400 miles is 17.8, includes runs up to Montreal and Vermont.

Eco mode makes a big difference. Next time you drive somewhere round trip, go one way with eco mode, one way without and notice the current fuel economy. Considering how low your MPGs are, I'd assume you could lighten up on the peddle, as well...

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Overland Gas Mileage

I also live in Brooklyn (Bay Ridge). Since leaving it in ECO mode I've been getting a much more respectable 16 miles per gallon. Only 550 miles on the car so far so maybe that number will improve more in time.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Overland Gas Mileage

At 1600 miles, with 75% of it being road trip at more or less 75 mph, my (3.6 V6 4x4 Limited) average before I hit the last bunch of city traffic was 25.6. For the first 400 miles it was a little over 19, which was half city/half hwy. It's really easy to suck the gas in city traffic, but I'm blown away by my highway mileage especially compared to my last WJ. And that was with my Whispbar rack.

Are you guys going by the EVIC?

This is what I get with my V6 calculated. Evic is about 10% higher then reality. Usually evic says 19 and I'm getting 17 something by calculation.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Overland Gas Mileage

I'm going by the EVIC, which on the open road (TX OK MO) for this trip seems close--roughly 500 miles for 20 gal fillup. Heck, even if it turns out to be 10% or so optimistic that's still really great mileage in my book.

I agree that the engine wants to go but this adds to the poor fuel usage around town. You may want to select the fuel economy display (see below) to give you an idea how your pedal relates to your fuel usage. Being gentle with the pedal gives me around 16mpg around town. I recently got 28mpg on an interstate trip. Pretty good for a 2 tonne vehicle !!!

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Overland Gas Mileage

i have a 14 gc limited v6 and i was getting about 16-17 driving fairly aggressively, now after i installed my k&n air intake I'm getting a solid 19mpg driving a little more aggressively because i like the sound so much hahah. i would really look into purchasing an air intake, helps alot!

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Overland Gas Mileage

I am averaging 18.8 to 20 mpg depending on some small highway driving since winter when I was 15-16.

3000 miles so far, averaging 19mpg. Almost no highway driving.

19 according to the EVIC? That's about what I get, but calculation shows 17.5.
