This might be a stupid question but would this system bolt up to a wk2 with the 3.6l v6?

For sure no for the main reason that this system is only for the Summit (and by default the HA) squarish tip cutout in the rear bumper fascia. Yours had the standard single round tip/fascia combo. To remove the double tips from this system and install a single would require some further modification as the center point for the Summit squarish cutout is off by a couple inches vs the single round you have. I cannot speak to the need to mod from there back to the cats but would image there is some to do. In any case if you are locked on the Corsa cat-back because of no drone, etc.. then the standard Corsa caat-back 5.7 system (PN 14457) is the better starting point.

FWIW, the Corsa cat back is so free-flowing that it actually robs launch torque somewhat noticably but it does give it back (and a bit more) mid and up. might just be what your RIPP SC needs.

I know Gibson makes an axle (?) back exhaust for the 3.6l, here's the link to a thread on it:

GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

May be others but did not search too deep. Good luck.

Thank you for the info...I have the Gibson Cat back right now and I don't love it...looking for a little more sound...I'm thinking I may just have the front resonators/mufflers cut off and see how it sounds

I do like the quad tips and will likely use them, but if I decide not to will the OEM "wide" tips from my Summit fit the Corsa system still?

What is the price on the full package here?

I hear ya but the Corsa tips are designed and "tuned" for the overall system for back pressure, sound, etc... so using the stock tips would have unknown effects...good? bad?...who knows The engineer told me a while ago that the tips do matter some.

Also, this would definitely void the Corsa Limited Lifetime warranty as it would be a modification to their system and that is a no-no in the printed warranty, if that matters to you.

I will bring this up with the engineer this week when I drop off my Summit as I am sure everyone would prefer a tip shape to match the opening, given a choice. They do this for one of the 'vettes so its something they can do. I am sure they will take this as "input" to the design process just don't know if it will make the final design.

Re: 2014 SUMMIT HEMI 5.7l…DO YOU WANT A CORSA CAT-BACK EXHAUST?

I hear ya about the tips being important.
If our input matters or not I'm not sure, but if you were going to give Corsa forum members input, I would probably rather have a tip similar to OEM to fit the bumper opening than those huge quad tips. This is also coming from someone who is 100% going to purchase this system. Not sure if Corsa has ever done this, but I wonder if they can design the system so that the OEM tips are bolted to the Corsa system just as they are onto the original exhaust. It's just one bolt, and could probably make for a less expensive system since those Corsa quad tips have to be atleast a couple hundred in the total cost of the system. If this is not possible, then my vote still goes to a tip shaped similar to OEM.
Lastly, if they are going to infact stick with the quads, if they can position them so that they sit cleanly in the opening that would be awesome and also not sticking out far beyond the bumper.

So is your Summit still on track to go in tomorrow?

Yeah. I like the look of the summit OEM exhaust tips. Hence why I wanted Corsa system and keep my own tips

Got it, I will fun your input, after all, they are productizing my one-off system due to all you guys calling in so they definitely listen. And as I mentioned the make matching trapezoidal tips for 'vettes....would highly doubt they would use the OEM tips due to the sound tuning they do but one never knows....I have to call the engineer in the am to confirm my appt for tomorrow which is flex right now....I just want that 6spd Corsa 'Vette "loaner"

Re: 2014 SUMMIT HEMI 5.7l…DO YOU WANT A CORSA CAT-BACK EXHAUST?

Good news! I dropped off my vehicle today. I gave them my OEM trapezoid tips and they are on it. There is a very very good chance the end result will be a plug and play cat-back where the tips are "pick a tip" style....they are moving away (as best they can) from the "old-school" style of welded on (non-adjustable) bazooka round tips and toward the more svelte, OEM contoured (and adjustable) style tips. The main challenge they face with the JGC is that the OEM tips connect via a ball (very adjustable) style joint and while that just means they have to have that downturn/rounded pipe end (easy) it apparently reduces the effective pipe diameter at exit. They need to tinker to see what effect it (and the ending pipe diam at exit point in OEM tips) has on the backpressure (they say it may be significant) and also the exhaust note (their signature trumpeting sound). I forgot to measure the exit hole inside my OEM Summit tips but it is definitely much smaller than main OEM or Corsa pipe diameter so I am concerned that this option may be problematic for them. Engineers love solving challenges tho.

I made sure he knew that the JGC HA guys would likely love to use their OEM Trivalent dark chrome tips in addition to probably a decent percentage of the Summit owners. If they go the round tip route they would make them flush and staggered in all directions.

Best part, selfishly , is that I am sporting a 6spd LS3 Corvette as my "loaner" for the next 3-4 weeks. Ya it's an '08 with only 430HP and 75k miles but she has the Corsa Cat-Back and Corsa Carbon Fiber CAI and runs tight and pretty fast. Damn that red attracts the fuzz like static in winter.

Stay tuned guys. Any info you pass to me will go straight to the engineer unfiltered.

Re: 2014 SUMMIT HEMI 5.7l…DO YOU WANT A CORSA CAT-BACK EXHAUST?

Thanks for all the info. I've been doing a lot of research for a new system and couldn't really find anything that fit my 2014 5.7L Summit without making some compromises. I'm definitely thinking about pulling the trigger on this as it's what I'm looking for. Also LOVE the quad tips...very distinctive.

I'm running the Corsa on my 2014 5.7 Summit with the Stock Jeep exhaust tips welded on. It seems to work fine and sounds great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend that route to anyone on the fence.
