Corsa vs Magnaflow
Ease of install
Current lead time
Although stated it was limited, drone is big issue - 14summithemi, what's your scale from 1-10?

Thanks in advance!
Congrats on your acquisition and welcome to the "club"!

Yes, still building list of 10...have 8 now, you would be 9...

About a month lead time once we get 10.

Ease of Install...It was exceptionally "easy" watching the Corsa factory engineers install my system. But seriously, see the start of this thread for more answers to your questions.

Corsa drone is a 1/2 only when MDS kicks in. There is ZERO drone at cruise unlike ALL the others. The info at start of thread talks to this but you WILL have drone that will likely drive you out of your skull at cruise speeds with all high flow exhausts (except Corsa). Some say they are not bothered by it but that is because they are either used to it or are "tuning" it out. I am very sensitive to drone and the Corsa does not drone!

Magnaflow uses series 400 stainless for all except tips (series 300). 400 series develops surface rust after first full heat tempering cycle. Corsa is 100% series 300 stainless throughout.

Check out my videos for sound and then check out the Magnaflow/Hemi on youtube. Magnaflow is not as raspy or meaty sounding. It sounds good but the Corsa really does sound awesome.

Also, pretty sure noboby else makes a cat-back for the '14 Summit Hemi.

PM me is you are in, you won't regret it.....

There is a guy on this forum who had a Corsa cat back fitted up with rectangular tips for his Summit. I think he's in SoCal. Try searching the threads...it was about six months ago.

Re: 2014 SUMMIT HEMI 5.7lDO YOU WANT A CORSA CAT-BACK EXHAUST?

I'll take a look for curiosity's sake but it's not really relevant as it would had to have been a custom local shop thing. Corsa did not do it. One can always buy the non-Summit Corsa Cat-Back and have a local shop cut off the round tips and somehow weld on the factory trapezoid tips but those angles are crazy. Plus, that would void the Corsa lifetime warranty since it is an "alteration" and "an unintended installation." Also, that would change the sound of the system (better? worse?) as the tips are a big part of the sound tuning.

So, when you say "those angles are crazy", are you referring to the angles of the Corsa pipes and the limited space to cut and retrofit the rectangular factory tips?

Re: 2014 SUMMIT HEMI 5.7lDO YOU WANT A CORSA CAT-BACK EXHAUST?

It's not so much a crazy angle as the combo of the angle and the short distance to accomplish everything. Plus the Corsa requires a new hangar right there so you have to add in that to that small area as well. Now any performance exhaust shop (NOT a soccer mom Mufflers-R-Us) worth their salt would love this challenge and knock it out no problem but my real concern would be the sound. The tips really are a tuned part of the package so to go to this effort with an unknown sound profile would be a no-go for me, just sayin'.

Re: 2014 SUMMIT HEMI 5.7lDO YOU WANT A CORSA CAT-BACK EXHAUST?

I have a Summit on order. I'm interested in this exhaust. I'd like to see hear how the MDS affects the exhaust tone before committing to this system. Interestingly, it looks like Flowmaster makes an exhaust which only fits the Summit and not the other trim levels (other than SRT). I'd definitely prefer a Corsa exhaust, however.

Yeah, you raise a good point. Also, I would be a little concerned with the sound produced by the rectangular tips as I'm sure it would be a bit different.

Yeah, I saw this the other day, but I'm not a fan of the sound of this system. I think the Corsa has a nicer sound.

Re: 2014 SUMMIT HEMI 5.7lDO YOU WANT A CORSA CAT-BACK EXHAUST?

"The Outrage", dude you are #10! First, if your choice is WHICH exhaust to get because you are definitely getting one then you have zero.zero decision if you care at all about drone...Corsa! I am VERY sensitive to drone at cruise, I hate it and simply can't deal with it no matter what. Corsa just doesn't drone to any level of annoyance whatsoever. Yes, when MDS kicks in you get a little (but not skull rattle) but it subsides once the chambers get their groove on. The only operating regime where it is noticed at all is when MDS kicks in and you cruise at 25-35ish. Even then, it's minor. If it doesn't bother me it won't bother anyone, really!

Regarding the Flowmaster, it uses 400 series stainless for whole system except tips. Point is that it will develop surface rust (looks like rust and is rust but surface only) after the first heat tempering cycle as the iron in 400 series comes to surface. The Corsa is 100% 300 series, ZERO rust. It's a bitch to bend and work with and more expensive for the factory (why only Corsa and Borla use it for whole system) but best for customer for appearance only. Flowmaster will not rust out, just looks rough and your rear mufflers/resonators show on the Summit so that is an issue.

PM me for more info and/or to say YES. You are #10 (go order) dude!!!!

I put a Corsa catback on my '13 Overland and there is no drone in the cabin. The sound is "beefy" under acceleration and on cold start...but even that is mostly hear OUTSIDE the cabin. The point when the MDS kicks in will be noticable, but it's noticable even with the factory system .It's just unavoidable.
The build quality is outstanding...I don't think you'll find this quality in this price range. Corsa may cost slightly more but it is worth the price difference.

Just get ready to rip your Corsa systems off a few times over the life of your vehicle! Mines been off 2 times, about ready for a 3rd. I do not necessarily agree that the quality is that great. There are many that have complained about the dreaded "tin can rattle" they tend to develop. Mine is doing it now. I need to call up Corsa and get new parts on order. No idea which muffler it is that is making the noise though, and Corsa was a pain to deal with the last time I needed them to replace a muffler. I love the sound but not that impressed with their quality or service.

This time I'm probably just going to pay a muffler shop to rip the system apart and put it back together. It's a pain to keep disassembling and reassembling it!

As a follow up, this time Corsa took good care of me after my initial troubles getting in contact with them. Got new tunnel mufflers in about 2 weeks (looks like they just came off assembly line based on the date on them). They mentioned early builds had tunnel muffler problems and they changed their manufacturing process because of it. I got the new mufflers yesterday, dismantled the system and reassembled again. No more rattle!

It still stinks that I had to rip the system apart and put it together again so many times, but at least they honored the warranty and got me the parts I needed to fix my problems.
