I think a lot of people under estimate what the ZF 8 spd can do. Other manufacturers have had huge gains with it. A lot of them also came from 6 spd as well. So only imagine what its like going from 5. I haven't seen an instrumented test yet for the Hemi, but I would bet it will do mid 6's and mid 14's now. The way a V8 should be. When I test drive one, it would son the rear tires with ease when pulling out. That was with eco mode on as well. I just didn't have the need for that power. I will probably never tow. I got the Jeep to primarily haul my twin boys around. Just needed adequate power and economy. Still have my BMW for fun.

I also looked at their 5-60, 0-100, 30-50 and 50-70 times. The V6 was equal or stronger all around except for 1/10 to 100. I would say this is accurate because its the same magazine using the same techniques. Its not like they are testing a high HP stick where they have to control the clutch. Its pretty much floor it. CNet also has a video review for the V6 saying 7.5 to 60. I've never seen that from the 5spd Hemi in any magazine test. It was usually mid to upper 7's. Not reflecting the lack of power from the Hemi, but the really bad gearing and transmission in the older model.

When I got the GC, I gave my CHERRY 2006 325I to my wife, and she gave her old Sonata to her son. Then he asked (3 times) to borrow the beemer...to look cool....I said " Deal's off...gimme back the beamer. If you can't respect the care I took with that car, i want it back! Oh yeah...BIG FIGHT!

I have a six speed in my '13 5.7...Anybody know if that is the only year it was used?

The 6-speed was used in 2012 as well.

Re: 2014 V8 is weak?

for being as big as it is weighing 6500+ this thing moves. (v8) the v6 felt very sluggish to me when comparing the two at the dealer.

I didn't say for the '14. Read again. The '14 is most likely low 6's

I wouldn't hold this number as a factual one to compare. I go by same instruments and same methods. Based on that a '14 V6 is as quick as a '13 Hemi.
