Well, you got me there. Detroit elevation is 579 ft and STL is 466 ft. No wonder the mpg was so high!

that pic doesnt show that your getting 20mpg. It shows you are using 20 gallons of fuel per 100 miles....thats horrible gas milage

2 posts still dont understand your interpretation of the pic. How does it have it to do with 100 miles? I can reset my mpg and hit 50 downhill or not reset it for 3 months and get 5 where does 100 miles come in?

I routinely got 19.5-20.1 mpg on I-75 between Ann Arbor and Midland. Set the cruise control to 70mph. That was EVIC reading. Have checked using hand calculator method and it's within 0.5-1 mpg on several tests.

Now I use the EVIC value for relative HEMI performance, not absolute values and the miles-to-empty calculation. When the fuel tank is empty, mpg's are irrelevant.

Re: 21.6 mpg highway - HEMI

Southbound from Northern New Hampshire over the rolling hills to Central NH this afternoon. 60 mph on the primary road equated to 19.5 mpg. 73 mph on the interstate ranged from 20.5 to 21.1 mpg a best ever for the Hemi.

Re: 21.6 mpg highway - HEMI

The CRD GC WK2 when it goes on sale is reported to get 34mpg overall. That sure beats my mileage hands down! The reported six speed auto should help.

Re: 21.6 mpg highway - HEMI

I did round trip Chicago - St. L, Chicago this weekend. Steady 5 mph over the limit the whole way, all on cruise control, 320 miles each way.

When I got back to my driveway, EVIC is showing 21.6 MPG! Overland Hemi! I can't guarantee that's right, because I didn't siphon the rest of the gas out of the tank to measure it, but I've found the EVIC to be pretty much right on.

ONLY five over? You must have been passed by everybody, . I do that run at least once per month at 295mi ea way for me, 97% non-stop interstate. On every trip I have some "Hemi time" too and still get a pump verified 20-23mpg depending on wind and average travel speed. Driving 75-80mph usually dips it to the 20mpg range, 19mpg if against moderate wind.
