3800 miles on the odometer ... first long trip (Detroit to St. Louis) ... got 21.6 mpg with Hemi. No tree hugger is going to come and congratulate me, but it sure feels better than the sticker's rating of 17!
Yesterday is was 58 degrees, 73 mph on the Interstate = 18.8 mpg, continued at 60 mph on primary road = 20 mpg. My best ever. Have 6,000 miles on the clock and shod with snow tires. Looking forward to the "Lattitudes" on it and then check the mpg.
Constant 68 mph on cruise control in Ohio (I saw more cops in OH in three hours than in 5 months in MI), then 75 mph on cruise control all through IN and IL on US 70 west. 21.6 mpg was the average for the trip until hitting rush hour traffic in STL. Still did plenty of downshift passing along the way ... no real attempt to conserve other than using cruise. Mid grade fuel per manual recommendation. The average actually climbed as I increased speed. Return trip on Monday ... think I'll see what I get at 80 mph this time and skip OH
