Sorry, but for the amount of moeny you are spending trying to upgrade your V6 so it runs like a hemi, you should have bought a hemi... Dual exhaust on a V6 sounds cheezy... just like the kid that goes out and buys a 300.00 muffler for moms old cavalier... ok?? sounds dumb on that..sounds dumb on a JGC... Save your money...save up and guy the hemi next time...

I'm not knocking the hemi, but do you say the same to the FX35, Acura MDX, cadillac SRX, lexus RX350, etc. owners with their V6 dual exhaust when they leave you and your hemi in the dust.

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

WK2 V6s with dual exhausts are for Posers.

Real People get the Real Deal and go with the Hemi. But currently being here in Kalifornia, a place where people are more concerned about appearance than substance, I expect to see lots of Poser-mobiles.

laughable...it's quite the opposite. It's folks going with the "HEMI" and posing if they have a real performance machine, until they line up against a majority of the SUV/trucks, are the real posers. Let me guess...you probably have HEMI badges slapped all over your rig?

BTW, I don't have a problem with the HEMI it's just unbelievably laughable for those that think the HEMI is leaps and bounds above the V6. When actually the HEMI(non SRT) is comparable and slower then many SUVs on the market. The numbers do not lie.

Ok, i'm done.

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

Here are the numbers:

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland (V-8) 0-60 mph 6.9 Quarter Mile 15.3

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (V-6) 0-60 mph 8.0 Quarter Mile 16.2

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 0-60 mph 4.5 Quarter Mile 13.1

The SRT8 is pretty impressive.....

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

Most reports show the V8 to be low to mid 7s 0-60 and the V6 just over 8sec. The passing time is what's most interesting and proves that mid range is very comparable. The lighter feel and nimbleness at mid speeds is what I liked most about the V6. I could feel the heaviness of the Hemi.

V8 Overland:
0-60: 7.6s
Passing, 45 - 65mph: 4.0s
1/4 mile: 15.4 @ 92.2mph

V6 Limited:
0-60: 8.4s
Passing, 45 - 65mph: 4.4s
1/4 mile: 16.3 @ 86.6mph

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

I am very pleased with my V6 so far. I drove the Hemi and did not notice much difference on the road. If I did a lot of offroading or towing, then the Hemi would have been my choice. But for the road I like the V6 and the lower cost to operate.

I was the exact way when deciding...and the fact I drive 20k+ miles a year, the MPG is a plus but no way was it the only deciding factor. I tow occasionally (less then 3,000lbs) and the V6 is more then fine. If I towed a heavy load all the time, I would go with a larger vehicle as power can only help so much.

Really, lolololol! Is that what all the V8 bragging is all about, 0.4 s?

That's too funny, 0.4s.

Seriously though, who gives a sh*t! People should just comment on why they like their ride and stop bashing others.

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

If towing is the issue, then get a pickup truck or full frame SUV. My 07 Expedition was an awesome hauler, but I no longer need those capabilities, so opted for something smaller that was better on gas. The GC with the V8 got about the same mpg as the much larger Expedition (with 5 year old technology), so it made no sense to me at all.
