Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

I'd be curious to see what a modded 3.6 does in comparison to a stock 5.7.

I'd bet my truck would definitely give a stock V8 a run for its money, considering...my truck weighs less than 4500 lbs and have installed CAI, magnaflow dual exhaust, ported throttle body and eibach lowering springs

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

What kind of ported throttle body did you use? Did you have to have it tuned by dealer or just install and go?

Just install n go! No tunning available yet. I had it ported from the man who posted just be before me, 'FlyinRyan,' he does excellent work!

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

Does anybody know of a place in Los Angeles that I could trust to do the dual exhaust install?

Also should I get a CAI installed? From what I have read thus far I would probably go with the Airaid. But I am open to suggestions.

One last thing, please do not tell me that I should have gotten V8. I am totally happy with my V6. I am not sure why some feel it necessary to tell the V6 owners that "They should have bought a V8" whenever one of us want to modify something. I see V8 owner modifying there exhaust and CAI so why can't we.

Thanks to all the people that have posted helpful information on this forum it has really helped me learn allot about my 2012 v6 Grand Cherokee.

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

mzimand, not all users are reasonable and good persons as you... enjoy your v6 as most of us are... I want to do this mod and I will not care what others say about V6 vs. V8... I opted not to buy V8,, and just like you, I want to mod my V6.... simple!

Here we have a LOT more good persons and helpful jeep enthusiasts than idiots, that's for sure!

Bumper parts:
1. Lower rear bumper without tow package (68078317AA)
2. Heat shield - Left side muffler (68090953AA)
3. Screws (3 or 4) for attaching heat shield to bumper (68090949AA). I only used 3 of these (see bumper parts #4).
4. Push nut/clip (1) for attaching heat shield to bumper (see pic). I'm not sure of the part # as i didn't order this. I used a 1/4" dia x 1" long bolt, nut & washer.
5. Rivets (2) for reattaching the rear quarter panel molding to properly attach the heat shield to the bumper (6500911)

Exhaust Parts:
1. Rubber exhaust insulator (2) (52128501AA)
2. Exhaust hanger, Left side rear (68056521AB)
3. Screw for attaching exhaust hanger (6101793)
4. Nut for attaching exhaust hanger (6101809)

This information was collected from what's available on-line and in the parts manual.
Ants....where did you purchase these parts from?
