Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

Na, I drive just under 200 miles a day. I'm getting 22mph highway and I'm really happy with that. Just want the look of the duals. I'm tempted to get the Borla system. Dynoing my V6 this saturday. So i'll have a baseline.

Dudes from Russia ;-) did you dyno to get a baseline and then will you dyno after to get results?

Thanks
You're not going to lose power. Period.

The Pentastar reacts very well to modifications....waiting for customer interest/demand to pick up before I invest into doing more parts for them.

Looking forward to those results!

With the amount of cars this engine is going into I don't think it will take as long as you think for mods to be available for the 3.6. Just what I personally think tho.

Tagging along!

I have the hemi, but I'm curious as to how the pre/post dyno results look

Only problem i had to pick it up which was 3hrs away from me.. went to pick it up with my friend and his pickup truck got it home went to go install it that night and low and behold... IT FIT!!!! Its a direct bolt in to the 6cyl.... all you have to do is order a new rear bottom valance for a v8 $180 and the driver side exhaust hanger....All i cared about was the look of the dual exhaust on the truck not so much on the performance end..... So if anyone has a 6cyl 2011-2012 that wants dual you can purchase any aftermarket exhaust for a v8 and its direct bolt in just remember you have to by that bottom valance and exhaust hanger on the driver side.... hope this info helps.....

So are we comfortable in thinking the magnaflow 16929 which is made for the v8 hemi will fit fine on the v6??? I just found a great deal but I'm slightly hesitant to but til I know for certain. Can you post a pic of your recent install? Thanks

Excuse me.... what are you waiting for?

For now, I am interested in adding a CAI, adding dual exhaust and any other tune to increase my HP & torque without hurting mpg on normal driving, specially city.

I like the idea of those duals from the hemi. I think we will have a better flow, without any increase in sound... Don't get me wrong, I like a lot how the borla sound. But $50 for hemi duals?...thats a steal!

Note: Don't forget the heat shield when doing the v8's duals mod

Heat shield? That's an additional part we need? Is there a part number?

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

There is a heat shield between muffler and bumper. I think will be a good idea to have it in place when doing the dual mod, specially hemi duals.

EDIT: You can see it in the last photo > here <

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

The heat shield wouldn't come with the exhaust? Or with the replacement lower bumper valence?

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

It's typically bad for biz to spend $$$$ on parts nobody wants.

I had ordered a Pentastar TB to port out back in October. I had ZERO interest in it until I offered it to a member at a discounted price. It sold just this past week. Considering my stuff always gets bought up faster than I can finish it, for me to have something sit on a shelf for a few months seemed like a waste of money.

The few that I talked to about modifying the Pentastar said they were waiting for tuning support....They'll be waiting for a long time. These motors react so well and the way the PCM is configured, tuning is NOT necessary for bolt-ons ...I get tune logs all day long from folks and have friends with 2011+ models so I know what I am talking about. Would it help, yes, but the stock tunes are so rich it's totally safe to add modifications.

I'm ready when everyone else is....

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

@Metz1374

Yes, there are enough facts out there to say that the CAT back V8 systems for 2011+ GC from Magna Flow, Borla and factory directly bolt onto the V6.

My only hold back is I haven't seen before and after results on the V6. Regarding the dual ehaust, I'm not looking for more HP/TQ, I'm after the look. But at the same time I don't want to loose either. I'm 99% sure I won't. I also put stock in what guys like FlyinRyan say as they run business that supply products to us and they put their reputations and businesses on the line when they speak up, so they had better be sure. Especially the ones who are active in forums like ours.

What holds me back? before and after results. I've been doing mods like these for years and have had painful learning's that have taught me to baseline first, then mod, re-baseline before next mod. So I'm waiting to see others who are doing the mods show results (mainly not losses) or I'll need to do before I jump in.
