Yes, I haven't done the stare and compare yet. But seeing there are two mufflers on the V8 instead of a single on the V6 the heatshield configuration is bound to be different. Like, left side fuel, brake, floor pan.... we V6 guys may have many of them already.

Here is a link to the 5.7L overland heatshields with pictures, pricing and part numbers http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/...&searchString=

Is that the only heat shield needed?

I can't remember what my engine cover looks like, but did you paint the 3.6L VVT in? If so, what did you use?

Thanks. Looks good!

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

I've just checked out some sites for borla, corsa, and magnaflow. It seems like an exhaust system for this vehicle is pretty expensive $1000-$1500. does anyone know of a cheap place to get any of these exhausts maybe im just looking in the wrong places. An exhaust system for my car ranges from around $500 - $1000 and they have proven gains of around 24 hp and around 10 tq. Why would they an exhaust cost so much more for the jeep?

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

Assuming we are able to use a hemi exhaust on this engine, I've found the magnaflow 16929 for about 900 on ebay

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

Keep in mind, a lot of these 5.7L systems are tuned for the 5.7L. You may actually be decreasing performance by putting these on the V6. Not like it really applies to me, but I would be interested in some numbers, especially any loss in the low end.

Re: 3.6 dual exhaust

Could someone verify if a 5.7 dual exhaust will hamper my performance. That's by far the last thing I want to do.
