3.6 spark plug change

Hey guys and galls, Jeep is about to hit 50k miles. I think its up to for changing the spark plugs. I will attempt at doing this myself. I consider myself somewhat mechanically savvy. I know i have to remove the top of the intake manifold to access some of the plugs. Ive seen a couple of youtube vids.

My question, what plugs should i get? OEM? Or anything fancy? Let me know. Hoping to do this either Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks in advance!

Re: 3.6 spark plug change

You are probably only half way there. Check your owners manual.

But, if you just want to have some fun with your Jeep, and the OEM's worked well so far, stick with them.

Re: 3.6 spark plug change

Like said above there is nothing wrong with your plugs at this point. I was going to flush my coolant the other day because I was off from work and had extra time until I read in the manual that it was good for 10 years or like 160K !(I have 31K)

Why waste the money and potential to mess something up if it's not needed.

If it ain't broke....

Re: 3.6 spark plug change

Factory plugs are good for 100k on a 3.6L

Re: 3.6 spark plug change

I would be looking at/ changing front and rear axle fluid and tcase fluid if it were mine and if its a 2011-2013 I would be changing transmission fluid and filter also.
