Re: 3.6 to a 5.7

I would say 17 to 19mpg is possible with MIXED city/hwy driving but is pushing it a bit for city only. You would need to be on perfectly flat ground and baby the thing all over the place. I would say I drive "Normally" and get about the same numbers as Inferno, around 16.5 mixed.... on the hwy hitting over 20 is no problem.

I am in similar traffic patterns as you are and am at about 12.5 with my Hemi. It was at 11.5 for a long time but after about 9000 miles it went up a mpg. Hopefully it keeps going up. I am at 11.5K miles now and waiting for the next increase in mileage.

Nor is it a city like Chicago. One of my friends drives a Honda Civic almost entirely in city traffic and gets 16mpg overall.

Re: 3.6 to a 5.7

I just drove my new '11 (leftover model, picked it up last Saturday) WK2 5.7l Laredo from Atlanta to Flushing, MI. Averaged 22mpg through the mountains of TN/KY w/ the cruise control on, at 75-80mph. Not too shabby. This is with the A/C on - off made no difference. I do have 4wd and QTII.

I've averaged 15-17 since then, combination of hwy and city up here.

In stop-n-go traffic in Atlanta, I average 17mpg in my '07 6spd JK Unlimited. Worst I've seen is 14mpg. Best is babying it w/o A/C and windows down - 24mpg!

And no, the v6 doesn't have enough power for anyone, it's all lies. Unless you are coming from a Prius or smart car.

Most of my cars are over 300hp, and if I need power and speed I will drive my coupe. If I need to go off road in snow or dirt I don't need more than V6 could provide. I don't tow trailers, I don't drive more than two people, I don't load my track with heavy things. Why do I need HEMI? To suck more out of pocket on gas? I use to rive 2009 JGC V6, that is where low power is W2K Pentastar is great on gas and well powered.

Is it very new? I use to get lower than now, but got better mpg after around 5K miles on my W2K.
