I had some very brief email correspondence with BBK Performance today regarding their shorty headers for the LX platform. They said that they cannot be 100% certain of the fit, but it "should" work on the WK 5.7l platform. I asked if there was any way to test and have yet to receive a response. If there were a number of potential sales that could be thrown at them, it might get their attention. I am looking for a set for sometime in the next few months if anyone has any other potential sources.
I just pinged them again to see just what it would take for them to test and or modify for the 5.7L. If they get back to me with something serious, I'll post a more specific thread.
Only a Buckeye would want something called Kook!!! LOL j/k
That's a good idea if BBK gets back to me. Maybe a little competition might help the cause. Looking at their site I am not sure if they build shorties or just the long tubes.
Any header that doesnt't require tuning basically isn't moving any more air than the stock exhaust manifolds. Likewise there would be very little performance gain.
If a header does move a lot more air (long tubes) it will require tuning and provide a significant performance increase.
