Re: 5.7 hemi Corsa redesign

here is the new system installed, just pretend the double tips r singles, all else identical..my system was a pre-production system but they said no changes were made for the production run...the first 5 pics are taken from rear (looking forward) and progressively moving forward. The last one is taken from the front looking towards rear....notice that the Corsa guys apparently have named their "garage" Chi-Chi's

Corsa direct or any dealer but if u r not installing yourself I would find your install shop first as many only install what they sell if they r a dealer for the brand...its a pretty easy install buy a lift and helper is most advantageous. OTD delivered purchase price is likely lowest at autoanything or carid dot com.

Re: 5.7 hemi Corsa redesign

Sweet! I just ordered one today, along with an AFE CAI for my wifes new 2016 Grand Cherokee Summit 5.7L that we just bought this past Saturday. AFE should be here in about a week but the Corsa is not scheduled until May. Its nice to finally own a new Jeep. Would just like to say "howdy" to everyone!

Where did you order the exhaust from? Did they give you a price?

Re: 5.7 hemi Corsa redesign

I have had the "old version" Corsa system on my 5.7 since 2013, and personally I have a real love/hate relationship with it. The sound is literally 100% perfect to me, but I have had tons of issues since I got it. Maybe I'm in the minority because lots of people seem very happy with it.

First one of the resonators blew it's insides out and sounded like death. I found the contact info on the forums for a gentleman at Corsa who could help me out. Once I provided proof of purchase they immediately shipped me a new set of resonators.

Then, about 6 months ago I had 2 exhaust hangers break off the rear mufflers right at the welds. (I emailed the same guy at Corsa that I had worked with on the resonator, with pics of the busted hanger, and he didn't even respond this time). So, I had a guy I know who's a mechanic re-weld both hangers for me gratis.

Now I'm getting a persistent, aweful rattling when the pipes are cold which disappears when they heat up, so I'm assuming it's another fitment issue of some sort and it clears up when the pipes expand. Time to crawl under the truck again and start troubleshooting again.

In all honesty, I was prepared to order a brand new #14457 system and start from scratch because I like the sound that much. This new development has made me hesitate.

I wish they had designed a new version that sounded 100% identical but fit better. It's hard for me to tell from your clips, but is that "braaaaap" on the upshift as loud and noticeable as it seems in those original video clips? That's kinda the only thing I don't like about going with this improved version. The tone also seems like it's shifted lower, more into Borla territory (i had a borla on my WK1 5.7 for 5 years)

The BRAP on upshifts is only on vehicles equipped with the 8 speed so you shouldnt need to worry if you have a 13 or older.
