Not so much between the 5.7 and 3.6. Still use the same final drive ratios. Yes the transmissions are different being that the v6 has the one Chrysler dinked with

whats good for 3,6 doesn't mean be good for 5.7.
other words 3,6 use Mercedes tranny plus 3.6 rear and front gears made with more effective final gear ratio than 5.7 can do with traditional 5-6 rfe. So producer with that tranny pushing customers to order smaller engines. which is not bad actually. But finally V8 5.7 customers are disappointed. And the srts are on top of marketing line. And they are differentiated from others very well. So were is the place for traditional non srt v8 ?

Actually the ratios between the hemi and v6 trans are the same. The difference is in the clutch packs and software. The hemi trans has stronger clutches in it.

The hemi has a place for those who want the power for towing but don't want a diesel

I thought that the axle ratio for the V8 is taller than the V6 for gas mileage. The trans ratios might be the same, but the final drive ratio is taller. I know that my V8 turns less rpm in 8th gear than my friend's V6.

I was only referring to the trans. Of course the axle ratios are different. The hemi has a lower rpm ceiling then the v6. So logically it needs a longer gear. I know in the case of the wk1 however the opposite is true with the 3.7 having a 3.07 rear gear while the hemi can be equipped with a 3.55 or 3.73 depending on trim and what 4x4 system it has

Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

Little disappointed with lack of pics, setup, install, dyno sheets, first-hand experiences, etc. Not that any one is obligated by any means, but this community has always been keen on pics and hard advice. Not to mention, where is RIPP? couldn't they lob out some first-hand testimonials, supporting evidence (I know, I've been to their site). I thinking of a forum discount?? 10%?? Corsa did a nice discount on dodgedurango forums and we ordered 25 units. Their absence is a concern, at least for me. I'm sure they are aware of us....how many have they sold? From this string I count two-maybe three units with varying degrees of happiness (amongst the 5.7 players) That 6cyl report sounds pretty amazing, congrats. One would think, if anyone was so into their jeep to have it SC, they would be on this forum, offering all the details in the world. I had a SC 300SRT8, vortech, worked well. More than interested in RIPP, however I'm not seeing enough details!!

Well in the interest in not spamming, we try to just be here for support and information.
We have offered Forum group buys in the past with great success.
To date we have more than 250 WK2 systems sold since launch, more than half being 6.4L SRT8 systems.
In an effort to constantly improve our systems, or 5.7L kit has a clean consistent 420+ WHP. 6-8 Ease of install.
Regarding the transmission, to this time, in the 75+ 5.7 kits out there. We have seen no transmission problems reported.

Would Everyone be interested in another RIPP group buy?

I would be curious depending on what the final price came out to be.

Do you have any installs with people at high elevation? I live at 9600 feet, so I am a little different that your "regular" use case.

Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

Now that Diablo has released tuning for MY15 SRTs I'd be very interested in a group buy. Especially if the kit includes everything for Australian compliance.

Definitely interested in a group buy. Since this kit comes with a tuner, is it possible to install over a weekend with some buds instead of going to a professional? RIPPs current price is just under $6000 for my 5.7 and I was quoted over $7500 for including install. I don't see $1500 of labor involved, so I am wondering the complexity of the install and required tools.
