Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

I find it hard to believe 0-60 times around 5.1. With the cs the times should definitely be the same as the srt, if not better!!!! Definitely interested, but has anyone actually purchased the hemi sc?

Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

I was surprised as well. You could add more psi and achieve faster times but it is not recommended and could destroy the engine and driver train unless you replace the weak points. If you want a bolt on SC that doesn't need any stock parts replaced your going to have to make a sacrifice with regard to HP numbers.

Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

think the gear ratios on the srt are different then the wk2 jeeps, which might account for the 0-60 times.

on the side note, my Durango(WD) 2014 is at RIPP for a supercharger install now.

I reckon the SRT pulls better times because of the "launch control". Not quite sure exactly what it does though...

Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

Launch control. If you read up on it. Is actually power braking till like 70% before it engages. So it is specifically track use. Not road use. No wheel spin etc. But. I dont know how much wheel spin anyone is getting right now. But im not getting any lol. So id count that out. Less you power braking every stop light.. High doubtful.

Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

Definitely looks tempting.

My '12 needs a bit more juice.

I'll start contacting vendors, any positive feedback on any of the major ones?
I would check out Tune Time Performance in Lakewood, NJ. I know they mainly do GM but the head marketing and sales guy is also into Mopars. They might want to take a stab at this.

Re: 5.7 hemi supercharger

Ripp should be done tuning their kits soon i think. They are finalizing a few things on my 2014 Durango R/T with the 5.7L Hemi.

They have a supercharged 5.7L WK2 on the road getting some final tweaks as well from what i heard.

Russ at Ripp has stressed the point that his kits will be bolt-on with little to no modification required to the car to fit them. Last he showed me, they had to drill 2 holes to hold the intercooler with.
