5.7 Hemi V8 4X4 Transmission Temp?

Hey guys ...... I live in Texas and I was curious at what mileage did you first start adding fluid into your tranny and also what has been your average transmission temperature? I have the 5.7 Hemi and a 4x4 if that helps as well. I been noticing it hanging around 195-205? Thanks!

You must have a 2011-2013 WK2 to be running those trans temps. The 2014 on run much cooler. Now as for adding trans fluid, you shouldn't need to add any since it's not designed to burn it.

So do you have a leak?

My 2014 runs in the 195 to 210 range depending on conditions. That's normal in my book

It would help to know what year you have. If it's the ZF 8 speed, it's designed to run at those temps. In fact it has an internal heater to help it reach operating temp quickly.

I'm new to the Jeep world, and must be missing something. Where do you read the transmission temp?
