Nope just a "whoosh" sound coming from your credit card as you select it over 87 which your manual recommends...The ECM will automatically pull or add tuming, adjust fuel delivery, etc based upon what the system is actually getting. It may take some miles for it to fully adjust but it definitely will. The extra energy in the 93 will just go unused out the tailpipe...

What did you pay for that natural gas sourced stuff?

Any substantial difference from Pennz Platinum?

Geez, next we'll be changing the phrase from dino pee to dino farts.

IIRC, the Hemi has always sounded a bit funny compared to most other engines of its size.

If you don't have tunnels or canyons, have a passenger try from the back seat along a very high sidewalk, like on a bridge or something where its at least a foot high or so.

Personally, I kinda like the sound while deep canyon carving. Even the missus likes the purr.

Not quite as ba as an old rat motor at full throat, but a nice refined purr...

Re: 5.7L clunky and unrefined

For all I know this noise could be perfectly normal.. As this is my first V8 and my first american car... The truck is running great, accelerates smooth, has tons of power, upshifts and downshifts smooth, exhaust sounds great, gets good gas mileage, no extended crank or hesitation, never got any CEL'S.

As for changing directions, swerving, changing gears with the paddle shifter.. Nothing changed .. Its definitely coming from the motor not the tranny or anything else. .

I'm gonna try and find a tunnel or get a friend to hold the camera.

Re: 5.7L clunky and unrefined

Problem - noise when driving near a wall with windows open, but engine running fine.

Solution - close windows when driving near a wall.

Prognosis - you will come to love your Jeep even more.
