5.7L Headers

Hey guys, has anyone found or installed any brand of header that will work on a 2014 5.7L? I've done a few searches and can't seem to find anything.

Re: 5.7L Headers

I'm a fairly new jeep Hemi owner. 2013 grand Cherokee. I'm coming out of a sports sedan so I feel like I need lot more power. Will 6.4 SRT-8 header fit on a 5.7 Hemi? There seems to be a few more long tube header option for the SRT8. I only found 1 or 2 for the 5.7 Hemi.
Thanks.

American Racing makes long tube headers for the 5.7. Haven't seen any posts from anyone that has installed them but it's an interesting upgrade.

You can get them at FastHemis.com - Hemi Performance Parts & Accessories Superstore for about $1000 give or take a few bucks.

Re: 5.7L Headers

I've installed the American Racing headers on my 2012 5.7L. The guys at American Racing told me that the SRT and 5.7L headers are exactly the same other that the connection size to the catback. My headers actually came with an SRT tag on them but they bolted up just fine... 8 hours later.

Im really wanting to do this myself but everything I've read about the installation process for these headers sounds nightmarish! Even pro exhaust shops seem to struggle with them.

I'd be curious to hear a bit more detail on the process. Did you do this install yourself? What were the major obstacles in getting them bolted on? Do you also have the AR catback exhaust or something else?

Sorry for the billion questions...just trying to collect as much info as I can before deciding on my own.

Re: 5.7L Headers

I worked along side a mechanic friend to put these in. There is absolutely no space in this engine bay. The headers have about 1/8" of clearance once they're installed. There are some brackets underneath the vehicle that need to be removed during the install. One issue we ran into was opening up one of the bolt holes a little more. I believe this was a mistake during manufacturing. It took 8 hours to do this job. I have a Corsa catback which these headers bolted right up to. All said and done, this was quite a headache but well worth it.

@Jpsch...thanks so much for all that info! This might sound kinda dumb but I'm wondering if I would be able to install them with the car on jack stands or does it really require an actual lift. Any thoughts?

You definitely need a lift. Jack stands unfortunately won't cut it for this install.

Re: 5.7L Headers

Have you dyno'd your car since the header install to see what kind of power you picked up? I just installed ARH headers on my 12 5.7 as well and the power gain is definitely evident, hopping on a dyno any day now

I haven't been on a dyno yet, I haven't even been able to get a tune at all. I'm very curious to see your numbers! Are the headers the only modification you've done so far?

I have an appointment tomorrow at a local dyno shop. I have a KN intake, 87mm ported throttle body, ARH catless headers, magna flow 3" exhaust from an srt8, and a custom 87 tune from Greene Racing. Hopefully I put down some decent numbers!
