I agree that it's a big prob. The foreman at the dealer I go to said it's from a bad batch of valve guides/stems and Chrysler didn't realize they were bad until probs started. He also said there there wasn't anything obvious wrong with my stems when he looked at them. I think at somepoint Chrysler will have to issue a recall and get all the cars fixed. Very disapointing... Chrysler sure is risk seeking to not have QC steps

BTW, Anyone else have the infamous, "low-reading", dip-stick problem? I do apparently. Just had my 1st oil/filter change awhile ago, and noted that after drain, and 7 quarts of fresh oil, and the drive from dealer to home, the oil level on the dip-stick showed on the low marker, or about 1 quart below the full marker. I've read about this before but not sure how wide-spread the issue is ... ?

A lot of people have that add a quart dip stick issue, entire threads on it. nothing yet on the cause or fix

This could be causing a lot of over-fill situations for the unaware, and therefore a lot of smokey exhaust concerns for some, and maybe oil usage concerns if overfilling causes excess oil usage ... ??
