The copper plugs have a change interval of 36k miles so hearing that they were decent but a bit worn at 50k isn't surprising. Hopefully the iridium plugs don't give you and issues with the MDS system, but I think most people on the forum agree that the coppers work best and are a cheap option. YMMV.
Also, any reason why you're running 0W-20 instead of the factory-recommended 5W-20?
If you're at 48k and are going to assume that no previous maintenance has been done it would be a good idea to inspect your front and rear diff fluid, as well as the fluid in the transfer case - and replace if necessary.
