Bought my 2011 WK2 Summit with 48K on it. Finally finished up doing a tune up for it. Did not get all the service records so just assume nothing was done.
Changed the oil from whatever the dealer put in with a Motorcraft filter. Went ahead and changed over to Mobil 1 EP 0W-20 with a NAPA Platinum Filter. Also changed the plugs. They were the original NGK Coppers and in decent shape but warn out. Replaced with 16 Bosch Iridium's. Also went went with the Volant CAI.
Was at 19 to 20 MPG Highway at 65 to 75 before. Now at 21 to 22 MPG at Highway at 65 to 75. At 60 it was getting 24 of the EVIC. Pretty happy since the EPA on it was 19 Highway.
Feel more power, better response from engine and also the MDS seems to work a lot smoother and better now. Plugs were pretty simple change, nothing was really in the way to make it difficult. But a flexible joint attachment makes it easy.
